SEEN & NOTED: UNITED KINGDOM — Esprit Digital, a UK-based custom digital signage integrator in public environments, has announced the deployment of Digital Baggage Pods at 34 baggage carousels at Gatwick, Manchester, and Stansted Airports. The Digital Baggage Pods are double-sided digital signage displays that combines 84-inch screens with an 32:9 aspect ratio with backlit light boxes in a single stainless steel enclosure.
Esprit Digital's in-house team of metalwork designers, assembly technicians, and software writers worked with Eye Corp to develop the new digital displays. Eye Corp is an international out-of-home advertising company that manages a broad portfolio of digital and static out-of-home media properties at airports, shopping malls, roadside billboards, and educational institutions. The new Digital Baggage Pods will be fully deployed by the end of this summer and will provide advertisers with long dwell times and a high quality captive audience reaching millions of travelers as they pass through each airport's high-traffic environment.
“We looked at other solutions around the world before deciding on a unique design that we are confident will engage passengers for many years. Esprit have proven to be an excellent partner and we will be working with them on future projects,” said John Rankin, Eye’s UK General Manager.
