SEEN & NOTED: AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS — Rembrandtplein square is one of the busiest locations in the heart of Amsterdam. It's a prime location to reach on-the-go consumers because of its vicinity to major shopping districts of Kalverstraat and Utrechtsestraat. More than 300,000 tourists and commuters pass through the square each week which is why it features one of the largest state-of-the art digital signage advertising billboards in Amsterdam. Rembrandtplein's digital signage billboard was recently upgraded by BlowUP Media, a division of Ströer Group, to a full-motion widescreen digital format called "Super Motion", a 108m² wide LED screen that delivering targeted messages from advertisers that include Pepsi, Universal Pictures, Nike, Acer, and Mercedes.
"Our brands need emotional images in close proximity to their young urban target audience," said Harry Dekker, Media Director Benelux Unilever. "With giant digital posters such as Super Motion, we are able to embed our brand identity in the cityscape and escort the target group right to the door of the shop."
